Satisfying experience in our Spain Mission.
The project partners met during 2 days of conferences with experts in the hydrogen field that focused on the green hydrogen economy in Spain addressing the objectives of the H2GLOBAL project.
During the meeting, the partners had opportunity to visit ARPA EMC and the presentation of the Life Zero Energy Mod project was made. This is important as the demonstration of green hydrogen projects is an essential part of the H2G objectives and the promotion of hydrogen technologies, knowledge and projects internationally. In addition to this project presentation, they also showed us their military solutions (to which hydrogen could also be applied in the future) and their equipment such as the hydrogenerator and the Toyota Mirai. On the other hand we had the visit in FHa demonstrating Ely4Off, HIGGS, H2PiyR and other projects along with our facilities and the Huyndai Nexo, the first hydrogen car registered in Spain.
During the networking we received representatives of about 40 companies. The networking took place at the Walqa Technology Park during which the companies had the opportunity to introduce themselves and meet representatives of companies from Spain, Italy, Portugal and France including representatives of the clusters that form the H2GLOBAL consortium.
H2GLOBAL Conference
The second day was dedicated to the conference entitled “Boosting a sustainable economy in Spain” which was opened by Javier Navarro, vice-president of our Board of Trustees and General Director of Industry and SMEs of the Department of Industry, Competitiveness and Business Development of the Government of Aragon.
Afterwards we presented the H2GLOBAL project and FHa together with Mercedes. Then, Santiago Gonzales, from the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving, made a very interesting presentation. The presentation was dedicated to “Hydrogen technologies to promote a sustainable economy in Spain. Funding opportunities” . Then we have presented the H2GLOBAL and FHa project together with Mercedes Sanz, responsible for Consulting and Training. Then, Santiago Gonzáles, from the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving, made a very interesting presentation. The presentation was dedicated to “Hydrogen technologies to promote a sustainable economy in Spain. Funding opportunities”.
A key point of this day was the round table “Ebro Hydrogen Corridor, an interregional development and collaboration”, with representatives of the following entities:
– Calvera Hydrogen – Raphael Calvera
– Repsol S.A. – Maribel Rodríguez
– Acciona Energy S.A. – Almudena O’shea
– Energy Cluster of the Basque Country – José Ignacio Hormaeche.
It has been interesting because during this debate the contribution of each of the communities to the development of the Ebro corridor and the GetHyga project has been presented. This also gave us all and especially the participants a clear picture of the hydrogen economy at regional and national level, presenting the state of development of the hydrogen economy and technologies in Spain.
During the debate there were representatives of the communities that form the Ebro corridor, but also representatives of the clusters, large companies and SMEs, which are an essential part and main focus of the H2GLOBAL project.
